“ Great food, excellent service (Lexi) and the band Prodigal Sons was very entertaining. Perfect mix of music and the volume was just right. Only negative is the smoking. We ended up leaving our table and standing on the other side of the bar to escape the smokers. ”

“ My go to spot for BBQ on the weekends in Sarasota. On the weekends they have 3 separate live bands playing through the day and during the week they have live music at night too! Absolutely fantastic place to sit down have a drink, order some tasty food and spend an afternoon out. The service is great too. I ordered an iced tea and told her I was thirsty and she brought over a pitcher for the table. We ordered the half smoked chicken, brisket sandwich, dinner and fried chicken sandwich. The stand out was the half smoked chicken. Extremely moist chicken with a great seasoning on the skin and flash baked with bbq sauce on top. Absolutely delicious! ”
“ Stottlemyer's dining room is a large tiki hut. There are a lot of fans running and even though it was mid-August in Sarasota, the temperature was comfortable for me for the 4 hours I was there. The dining area certainly has a welcoming feel about it. I started out with the Smoked Stuffed Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno appetizer. The jalapenos are stuffed with seasoned cream cheese and cheddar--they had just the right amount of spice and were crave-worthy. I ordered pulled BBQ pork, cornbread, collard greens and fried okra for lunch. The pork was tender and perfectly seasoned. The cornbread was delicious and the fried okra was simply the best I had ever eaten. This was my first meal at Stottlemyer's, and I look forward to many more in the future! ”

“ Great barbecue. In my opinion, better than Apocalypse bbq in Miami. Their mac n cheese needs work and their corn bread is good but nothing special. But the bbq was excellent. By the way, this is weird to say but the water was so good! So refreshing!!!! My kids drank more water than they did soda. I definitely recommend! ”
“ Today we had lunch at Stottlemyer's I've been wanting to eat here for sometime now. Got there at 11am and had a choice of any seat patio it is for myself and 4-legged friend. Marjorie was very nice she even brought a real water bowl vs a plastic clam shell. Woot woot! Had a PBR, Pulled Pork Sandwich with Onion Rings and the Pork Rinds. I wished I had gone with another side not a fan of the onion ring breading (that's just me) don't worry I still ate them all. The pulled pork was great there were some over dry pieces I prefer the meat to be super juicy. NOTE try to have the sauce room temp pouring cold bbq sauce onto a hot sandwich doesn't work. Overall super pleased I will be back and often. ”
